Welcome to CAWS

 

About us:

 

CAWS is a not for profit community based organisation in Western Sydney, New South Wales. The object of CAWS is to provide advocacy and support to people with a disability to ensure that their life is enjoyable and interesting.

CAWS Vision is to promote, protect and defend the rights of people with a disability. To ensure that people with a disability have access to every opportunity that is available to any members of the community in which they live.

CAWS has been in operation for more than 35 years.

CAWS can help with:

  • Direct Advocacy – Skilled and experienced staff respond to urgent advocacy needs of people with a disability, their families and carers
  • Starting NDIS – We  can provide free and independent  assistance with access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). You may need help to access the scheme, with pre-planning, reviewing your Plan or with complaints resolution. Call us on 02 9893 8210 or email support@caws.com.au to find out more.
  • The following support items once you have your NDIS Plan – CAWS is registered to provide:
      • Support Coordination
      • Plan Management
      • Direct individual support
  • At present CAWS runs the following group programs at the Lalor Park Community Hub:
      • Tuesday 2pm – 4pm Craft Group
      • Thursday 10am – 2pm Performing Art (Funky Theatre and Choir)
      • Thursday 1.30pm – 4.30pm Art Group
